I wear a polo and shorts to dinner. There's no such thing as a typical attire here - given the very international flavour of the crowd - but you definitely don't need long pants, and a t-shirt would be totally fine.
The feel of this place is pretty much the opposite to a Mexican AI - not saying that in a negative way as I've done both and liked them - but it's just a very different world. |

Sure! We ended up doing it on the beach (near Nava in front of the cabanas) with the Maldivian menu.
Food wise was absolutely on point, you have your own private chef near the pool and your own server. Maldivian cuisine was excellent, especially given the fact there isn't a Maldivian restaurant on the island. 4 courses in total (although it's meant to be 5 but in reality it's pretty much the same) First being small traditional dishes with tuna, vegetables etc. some fried as well. Second course was a wrap/mashed tuna sort of thing which was delicious. Third (in reality third and fourth) course was a whole lobster, a whole fish (can't remember) and a giant rice with a giant curry. Fourth and dessert was a lovely wild almond and chocolate cake with almonds from the resort and some gold leaf. Was quite tasty but nothing that special IMO. It's worth saying that this is sooooooooo much food! I think it could've fed 6 people no worries at all. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone but my feedback to the F&B director at breakfast the next day is that the volume of food is too much, apologies if anyone else goes and wants a massive meal :p It may be a little much to ask but do you have any pictures of the dinner experience as far as scenery and food wise? haha. Thank you! |
We are traveling with our 1YO but although trying it several times at home and also on vacations he does not sleep in cribs at all. He only falls asleep when carrying him around for 1/2 hr or so walking and as soon as he is in the crib he suddenly awakes and starts crying. So we end up him sleeping in our bed as this is being tolerated for whatever reason.
Can someone share a picture of the rollaway bed they provide for children? We also want the situation to be safe in terms of not falling out so need to be a bit creative in terms where we position the extra bed to prevent accidents during sleep. Anyone being in the same situation maybe? Thanks |

Thank you for such detailed review on the dinner experience! P2 and I are leaning towards the Japanese or Western menu but after your review- we may choose the Maldivian menu as well. The "whole" lobster part makes it sound so good. We are sucker for fresh seafood.

Also apologies for double post but it's worth noting that Shisha is now $110++ rather than $135++ as described in the wiki. You can have it in Peacock Alley, Amber, Yasmeen, and Nava.
If someone could update the wiki or tell me how I'll add it in :) |

Ours co sleep all the time due to not sleeping.
we just used the main bed in a 2x Queen and I sleep with baby. I can’t remember which hotel provided bed rails for babies but one did. May be worth asking. good luck. |

I would ask about it. https://www.instagram.com/reel/COpzN...c4MmM1YmI2Ng== |

We've been able to mix and match courses between menus (since we don't eat certain shellfish). I don't have a strong preference, all the sets are good! |

Sure mate, only have the food since we're in the other pics. Don't think you can go wrong with any menu but I think you can get your Japanese hit at Zuma.

The hotel is very good about customizing the experience, the private dinner can be anywhere. We've done it in our villa, on the beach at the end of the island (to watch sunset), on the beach in the lagoon area, the wedding pavilion (this is what I would pick, BUT you need to book early in your trip JIC it gets cancelled because of winds and you miss your chance plus it's booked sometimes). The in villa experience imo is not the same, primarily because the other areas there is a chef fixing the items live. In villa it's like room service, cooked in the various kitchens, assembled and then delivered all at once to you. We've done it in rain or shine, although I wouldn't recommend rain. That time we were on the beach, and they moved us over to the patio of an unoccupied grand reef villa with the chef and continued there.

Will defiinelty try to ask to see if they are willing to accomondate! |
Do they provide stuffed toys to kids like the ones from Conrad?
