Despite the reports by one person, if one person checks in and out of the same hotel on consecutive nights the nights will be rolled together into a single stay. While Hilton IT gets a lot of things wrong, this is not usually one of them.

The terms and conditions are also clear:
3.A "stay" is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again.

As noted above, your options are to
(1) hotel hop, that is to move from one hotel to another and then back again. In the OP's case HS-A, HS-B, HS-A, HS-B, and so on; or
(2) guest hop, that is to make a series of one night reservations alternating between you and your partner.
