It's located at Little India district, which on weekends will be the gathering place for blue collar worker from south Asia and can be very crowded

The area it self is quite touristy with a lot of Indian related heritage spots to explore near by and since near to mrt, traveling around singapore should be a brezee

The (cash) rate does not look appealing for a Cat 2 property.
Might be worth a couple of redemptions (not point + money) but hard to see this becoming a viable alternative for me. The folks who loaded the points + cash rates really should have check if it was even logical. Paying more than BAR and asking 4,000 points on top of it. Wow.

Room sizes are small too, even for Singapore standards.
Ranges from 19 to 22 sq m.

Hilarious. And the cash rate of S$200 per night feels way too high for that location and quality.

The C+P rates are insane.

That must be an error - like someone has assumed that the rate to the USD is 10:1 instead of 1.4:1

I just checked, not a single standard room award available for the rest of the year, from 1 Aug to 31 Dec.

And I am Diamond, not even Diamond standard room is available. Only premium room awards from 1 Aug to 31 Dec. Must be something wrong, or they have quickly gotten into the game to change their base room category.

I am a regular visitor to Singapore and love to go to Serangoon Road for its shops, restaurants and culture. I have never once felt threatened or uncomfortable there at any time of day or night, even when out and about on my own. I cannot agree with the previous posters that this area is awful, unsafe or smelly.

The neighbouring temple might get a bit noisy, especially during festivals like Thaipusam, but the atmosphere is wonderful!

Yesterday I stopped by to look at the building and it looks promising. As you can see the area is very clean and tidy!
- viewed from Serangoon road, with the temple in the foreground
- approaching from Serangoon road with the temple buildings on the right
- main entrance
- it looks like the building is being converted from a multi-storey car park....

Just checked (from the US) on hilton.com, using two separate browsers, for a stay starting 30 March, and the site says "Coming Soon"

Yet, you say it is already open.

So what is the issue here?

'Bookings' are indeed open... not the hotel itself. It is supposed to open in August.

If you've read what the hotel's website says, you should have realized the hotel is accepting reservations for arrival on Aug. 1 2017 and beyond.
You are trying to stay there before it opens.
