Booked wrong date

In my tired state last night I accidentally booked a room at the Conrad Dubai last night. Apparently when I hit the back button it defaulted to the current date instead of the date I wanted (today). It was past the cancellation window so I couldn't do anything. I do not have any way to call the hotel so I sent an email off no more than 5 minutes after booking explaining what happened asking if they could move the reservation to today. I got no response so what's my next course of action? I've likely been marked as a no show by now. I will arrive into Dubai at the hotel around 10am and will try to explain it then. Who should I ask to talk to for the best chance of fixing it?

Edit: never mind I got an email bank late this morning that they fixed it for me so all is well.

Glad yours is sorted but for future reference phoning the hotel direct is always the best way to resolve problems like this.

I agree, always contact the hotel in a situation like this - I mean the hotel directly rather than the general Hilton reservation lines which can do nothing for you. Most likely the hotel will agree to move the date if you made an honest mistake.

Yeah that's what I did. I used the hotels general email. They kept the same rate and my upgrade to the executive floor as a gold. I got upgraded almost immediately after booking at around 7pm local. I shot off the email a few minutes after and got a response around 3am. Overall great service.

Remember what the OP wrote:

While that may be the best way, if someone can't call the hotel due to their specific circumstances, it isn't very helpful...

I booked the wrong dates for Conrad Singapore... got confused over a sale they were having. Partly me, partly web site. Had reservation and booked a new one with wrong dates.

I emailed and they allowed he original and I was happy (with the higher rate).

Totally non refundable.

With such short notice, an email with a short window and then a phone call is best bet. A no-show is always a bad situation.

Glad this got sorted out Hope you've enjoyed your stay at the Conrad!

I've had that same issue once or twice, particularly when booking via the mobile app. I've usually phoned but I've emailed once too (had to put 'ERROR ON BOOKING FOR TODAY' I think).

I've also had the reverse happen when cancelling the wrong booking on the website. I've opened a booking up, then opened another booking... gone back to the first booking and clicked 'cancel'. Then I see to my horror that the second booking was cancelled despite clicking on the first booking. It seems the webpage tracks what page you last opened not the page you're currently viewing. I had to phone the hotels up to explain an they reinstated the rates (which was kind of them as one of them was an amazing great BRG rate!)

I've made the the same mistake with Conrad Singapore a few years back too. Called them up immediately and whoever picked up the phone told me it's a small matter and not worry. Asked me for the correct date and informed me that an email has been sent to me with the corrected booking. And to let them know if I've yet to receive the email.
