Go to ebay.

Search on "timeshare"

Sort on "lowest price first."

Your answer will be revealed.

All timeshares are a scam. You are just pre-buying vacations with lots of restrictions.
Also, anything that makes you go to a "sales meeting" to buy is a scam.

If timeshares really saved you money then companies would not be selling them.

People who were scammed literally offer to give away the timeshares for free once they found out how they are scam.
Remember even if you purchase a timeshare, then you still have to pay monthly or yearly "maintenance" fees. You pay these fake fees even if you dont use the timeshare.

It's not a scam, just a very bad deal. Almost none of them actually save you money, and the ones that do usually turn out to be luck (e.g. picking a week when something very popular later happens).

....and ONLY if YOU want to be the one going to that very popular something.

Beanie babies would be a better investment.
