Consolidated "Hilton Team Members - Questions & Experiences" thread

This has been around FW, but I haven't seen it here.

Most rates (if not all) save about 10%.

There was a thread about this a few months back, I think. Or maybe it was the tennis. Some were questioning if it as okay to use it or not.

Cheering For/Cheering With Team USA Contest

My nominee for the least appealing "promotion" ever. (And at one time, I had Olympic dreams myself.)

Share a good luck message with Team USA for your chance to win great prizes.

Every time Team USA wins, you could win too. Share your words of encouragement with the team while they compete in London. Once you share your message, you can enter for your chance to win great prizes like: •The ultimate Fantasy Day at a U.S. Olympic Training Center
•An exclusive meet and greet with Michael Phelps
•Multiple HHonors points packages to use for a stay at any one of the 3,800 hotels and resorts within our ten distinct hotel brands
•U.S. Olympic themed Pins and so much more

TEAM USA rate

I'm seeing some excellent rates with the corp. code 2635191 (TEAM USA). Who can you this rate?

"Athletes, coaches, friends and family can save on their next stay" according to this:

http://directconnect.hilton.com/dc/about/about.jhtml

So does that mean anymore could use it? Can they ask for any proof/credentials? Would it be enough to print that page and show it in case of any questions?

Thanks in advance!

I guess if you're part of TEAM USA or affiliated with it, you could use the rate.
If you're not, then you shouldn't

It's been around for awhile. No I.D. required.

I use it whenever the MVP rate isn't available.

I usually root for the American swimmers in the Olympics.

(Usually.)

Thus, I am a friend of Team USA.

No wait...I know my daughters are members of a swim club, and it's affiliated with some sort of national (U.S.) swimming body.

Thus, I am a family member of Team USA.

I thought the MVP rate was the Team USA rate.

I used to work with a man whose younger brother was an Olympic athlete -- he competed on a USA Beach Volleyball team in Beijing and London. So I think I qualify for either rate.

And if that is not enough, I can always pull out my trump card. Back when I was nineteen, someone at LAX actually thought I was an Olympic athlete.

Ditto here.

Let's review:

In the "Corporate Account" box put

For MVP:
0041604 for Hilton and HGI
0560041604 all others

For Team USA:

0002635191

Not all Hilton properties offer those special rates. Always check the special offer box when booking through the hhonors website.
