@ the Hilton from Oct 4th until Oct 19th. what a waste as there is no promo for oct. maybe i should switch to another chain after this weekend.

There is a promo, going on now till dec 31st. 9 000 bonus points per stay.

Agreed. Doubled with the VA mileage promo (and after converting VA miles to points), I'm looking at 46,000 bonus points from Nov and Dec. Certainly not the best quarter ever, but not the worst, either. Better than double points.

After the 5 stays for the VA promo, there's little incentive to stay beyond that. Also, since the 1000 points isn't for October, might as well wait until Nov-Dec to make those relatively easy 5 stays.

Am I reading this right...3rd quarter ends Sept 30th and 4th quarter starts Nov. 1st? Nothing for October?

You are correct. The Q4 promotion does not start until Nov 1.

Very small promotion, too.

There are some extra air miles promos that I understand are valid from now.

These types of posts always interest me. Do you not have any qualifying stays during the promo period, so registering would not be worth your time. Do you have qualifying stays planned but you fully intend to not avail yourself of bonus points in exchange for about ten seconds of your time? Or is your post completely bogus?

I'm not aware of any promo for VA (V Australia). Only VS (Virgin Atlantic).
