5,000 points that had been missing from a March stay in Frankfurt posted for me overnight. I hadn't been in touch with Hilton about this, so it would appear that the "sweep" KenTarmac and dmodemd were told about is indeed happening.

+1 on the sweep taking place.
I received three sets of 5,000 points (15K total) from stays back during the promo period. They posted with a date of 24 MAY 2012. Check your accounts

Well, they finally posted to my account. In two credits dated 24 MAY and 25 MAY 2012.
They actually posted 5K more points than I was anticipating. That's the least they could do for the unreasonable wait.
My new points balance is ... (drum roll please ...
)
944,471 TOTAL POINTS
... Which is worth just slightly less than one Zimbabwean dollar.

I was emailed a few days ago that they have finally resolved this issue and that all accounts that are owed the 5k should have them added over the next few days. Low and behold...5k posted today. Better late than never!!

I had the same issue as well. I called 5 times and finally on the 5th call, a supervisor manually posted the points to my account. This is after I spoke with a rep who said there was no additional points I was owed.
