Another Transfer Question
I want to find out if it is possible to do a transfer either AA to HH to UA or UA to HH to AA? Once the points are in HH, do they allow them to be transferred to another airline program?

cactuspete, I know the exchange rate is going to kill us. But, we don't have any way around it.
Does anyone know if I have the exchange correct. If I understand it,
1 AA = 2 HH then 4 HH = 1 UA
or
1 UA = 2HH then 4 HH = 1 AA
Does that make sense to anyone but me, and is it correct?

In case of AA --> HH transaction, 5,000 AA miles (the minimum required) would generate only 5,000 HH points.
In case of UA --> HH transaction, 5,000 UA miles (the minimum required) would generate 10,000 HH points.
In the reverse transfer, the exchange rates are as follows:
For UA (10,000 miles minimum):
10,000 UA miles --> 1,500 HH points
20,000 UA miles --> 3,500 HH points
50,000 UA miles --> 10,000 HH points
For AA (10,000 miles minimum):
10,000 UA miles --> 2,000 HH points
20,000 UA miles --> 4,000 HH points
50,000 UA miles --> 12,000 HH points
