New 1-2 Weekday Awards

Just booked a couple of award stays and discovered a completely new award. "HH" awards are available for 1-2 weekdays. Prior to this, there was no award for less than three weekdays. These awards are not listed on the website yet.

I don't have the complete schedule, but 1 weekday at an Opporunity level property is 10,000 points.

These HH awards have existed for quite a long time. See:

Well news to me. Why don't they publish the darn things? I could have used these in the past. I consider myself pretty verse in the HHonors program and this is the first time I've heard of these awards.

In the thread you pointed me to, one poster indicated that the folks at the HHonors desk were not allowed to offer these awards if the customer didn't ask for them. Maybe that policy has changed. Or maybe I just had an agent who wanted to help me out. Either way, glad I stumbled upon them.

Beckles, just curious. Were you aware of these awards before my post?

I have never seen them in print anywhere. Also, they seem to exclude the HH award from the point stretcher program. This is something that I hope they change.

FYI, The 1-2 day "weekend" awards can be used on "weekdays" as well. Got this confirmed by Adam when I was chatting with him about another problem. I did it in September, and worked fine with me.

This issue comes up about once a year or so. As referenced in PG's post above, these have been around for several years. I learned about them from a post on this board a while back. I also have never gotten a clear answer as to why its "hidden", but you do have to ask for the award HH0, HH1, HH2 etc. I have been told by Honors customer service that you have to be specific and ask for the HH award, anything less specific, they will not admit the award exists. I have used it several times. Its a great deal.

I agree that it should be published. I've asked in the past (couple of years ago) whether there was a 1-2 day award, and was told a flat NO. Of course I didn't mention the HH code by name since I didn't know that it existed. Why do we have to look for these things?????

Thanks for the tip Harold.

I am planning a one weeknight stay and was dreading having to use 65,000 points (a three free weekday award) for this one night stay.

Onedog,

I will be glad to pay for your one night stay for 65,000 points...

Just kidding, and I agree, why can't they just publish this award? Got to believe it would be a great way to let people get rid of points... of course, they probably don't want to give a way free rooms during business days.

Are these available in all classes of hotels or just Hilton-branded? Sorry if this is a dumb question; I'm new to Hhonors.
