I'm glad this is still available for the moment, so if you ever thought of taking, er, advantage of this offer do it soon; it will undoubtedly end, as our Community Director verified it.

Transfered 66,000 AA miles to 111,000 HH points last week. The points showed up in my HH account over the weekend (took 3 days total). I used redeemaamiles.points.com.

Most likely. Considering how much AA is charging for miles when they are sold to companies like Citi, it is highly unlikely that they would be paying out more when people are redeeming for these hotel rewards.

Is it possible to transfer AA miles to a third party HH account, or does the name have to match?

It has to match. This didn't used to be the case, but currently is.

Does this mean we're confirming that this deal is still live?

The AA->HH option is still available on redeemaamiles.points.com, so looks like you can still make the exchange.

Thank you! I've read conflicting information about this going back all the way to 2005. Seems like it was never perfectly clear.

Good I read it!! Thanks to FT-- I had some AA miles languishing in my account so I quickly went to HHonors site and got the miles transferred to points. Of course I had to part with some cash--30.00.

FWIW, you need a mileage balance of 25k miles or elite status to use this. Sadly, I'd used enough AA miles that I'm currently below 25k and am not elite.

It's still available as of today. I've already done my 150K miles for this year. I hope its available on January 1.
