Had no problems at all with the chat. It slows down when they go to moderator mode, which I don't care for.
I thought Jeff did a great job by the way.

Yes, it WAS very slow, but I did get in. But, didn't get my question addressed. At the peak were 142 people in it. Iguess thats why. My quesiton wa sa complaint about missing points and they may be why my question was not allowed in by the moderator. It seemed like all the questions were complimentary in nature and asking for more perks....oh well.

Had not trouble getting in (logged before start) but had my questions filtered too.
I thought the questions were softball as were most of the answers.
If Jeff thinks that Golds getting cont. breakfast is no problem then he is not very aware of the real world.
?'s about the surcharges were ignored (moderated out)
?'s about the difficulty of getting hard copy confirms on cert stays too.
A look at the ?s on this forum would suggest several ?'s that did not make the cut.
Other than the above and the embarrassing nagging for MORE from some of the attendees, I found it interesting, if not slow.

Transcripts are up! http://www.flyertalk.com/transcripts/
For those of you that had a hard time getting in (or couldn't get in at all):
Since the chat is based on Java, it can act up sometimes, depending on what browser and operating system you're using. Also, it can get squirrelly if your browser's been open for a while or you haven't rebooted lately.
Lame excuses, I know, but these are things we've noticed about getting through on the chat. I've done a lot of looking for a replacement (thanks to all of you that have supplied suggestions for alternates), but when you boil it down, the product we're with, DigiChat, offers the best features and interactivity. Other chat services, both hosted as well as self-served, don't have as nice a moderator feature, and when they DO allow moderation, their prices can be restrictive.
The problems we've had with them in the past are related to their overloaded servers (a situation we're more than familiar with); they had us on a dedicated server for Hilton's chat, and that seemed to be a vast improvement.
If you have problems logging into a chat, try the following steps:
1. Clear your browser's cache
2. Reboot the browser
3. and finally, reboot your machine.
Start with #1, and if that doesn't do it, try #2, and so on. Also, you need to have a recent browser (at least Netscape 4.+ or IE 5.+) and Java Virtual Machine installed (which should be default if your browser is new).
As far as filtering questions:
Of course we filter questions. If this were a chat with 10 people we wouldn't have to, but when we have as many people show up as we do, it's a necessity. Our guests aren't capable of answering 5-10 questions a minute.
If yours isn't asked, it's because we saw one that we felt was relevant to more people. It's not that yours was bad, it's just that we felt the other one was better. And we keep moving forward with questions; we don't often back-up and look over the old ones since we have plenty of new ones to contend with. If yours isn't used, try submitting it again in a few minutes. Again, we may not use it, but it can't hurt to try.

Any diamonds unable to find Chat?
I noticed this morning that my chat button was missing from hilton.com. Have they discontinued it? I really liked the ability for instant contact with a representative.
