Yes, we have seen HHonors withdraw points from people's accounts. Usually it is when points have been deposited incorrectly - by mistake (e.g. points deposited but not earned, perhaps in a mixup when someone else made a stay and they were deposited in another account erroneously,) or obtained by fraudulent activity.

Hotel and airline award programs have active audit (and fraud) units, and they even browse eBay and places like FlyerTalk to look for improper activities that violate their Terms and Conditions.

As to your points, you haven't provided the reason HHonors gave you, so it's impossible for me to comment - other than to say, yes, it has happened.

I got hit for 100k points about a year ago for the same thing. If the audit is correct then you really didn't lose anything because it wasn't really yours to begin with

At least you got a letter.
I lost about 60,000 a couple years ago with no notice or explaination.

That's wrong. No luck trying to get them back jabez?

I don't take periodic note of my balance. Maybe I should start...

I've had points removed and told I booked through Expedia, when I didn't. I argued, sent my confirmation from the airline partner site, called, emailed and then gave up. An absolute ridiculous nightmare, they insist I don't know how I booked my own room. This audit is NOT always accurate, check your own records.

They were points that incorrectly posted to my account (Cavalieri reward stay).
I know someone who actually had a negative balance after a similar audit adjustment.

MyPoints Drops HHonors Reward

The other day I went to redeem my points for the 5000 HH reward only to find no listing for it. A quick note to their CS brought this reply:

Dear Member,

Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services.

Unfortunately, Hilton Honors has recently been unable to process MyPoints redemption requests in a timely manner. In our efforts to provide the best member experience, MyPoints has indefinitely suspended its relationship with Hilton Honors and removed them from our Rewards section. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Best Regards,

MyPoints Member Services

Must have just happened since I know I saw it there two weeks ago when checking to see if pending points had finally posted.

Bummer, since this was the only reason I used MyPoints.

They have taken them down for a while now. My last redemption of myPoints for HHonors points took a while to complete too.

I've just had the same experience. Does anyone see any MyPoints rewards that can be converted to Hilton points?

Why not? The termination was due to Hilton's unwillingness to continue the contractual arrangement under existing conditions (or something close to them).

250 MyPoints For Hilton.com Bookings

Heads up to MyPoints members planning on booking a Hilton.com reservation:

MyPoints.com is again offering 250 points for making a booking via Hilton.com, the only thing is that the listing for Hilton is sort of hidden. The point offer is not clearly listed under the "Travel" catagory listing.

To find the 250 MyPoints Hilton Hotels booking bonus:

Go to MyPoints.com --> Type "Hilton Hotels" in the search engine using the "MyPoints" Search field [not search the web], and Hilton Hotels should populate in the search engine, leading to the link for Hilton Hotels and the 250 point bonus.

Sometimes the 250 Hilton.com Mypoints offer will appear as an icon in the travel center, but if you don't see it, search for it via the aforementioned method.

I assume most people on FT are members of MyPoints, but if not, feel free to PM me and we both can get a bonus for you enrolling.

Who knows when this offer will disappear. It seems to appear and disappear from time to time on MyPoints.
