Email Preferences Caution
I regained my HH Diamond level status last spring (2010) but never received a card. I tried to have a replacement card sent me using the HH online tool, but my Diamond card never came.
Today I called HHonors and spoke with an agent. She said the problem was with my email privacy settings. I had chosen not to receive any promotional items (other than account emails) from Hilton. That setting stopped them from mailing out my Diamond card.
So, the nice agent said she would get one mailed out to me by next Friday (the next outgoing mailing date for cards).
I guess I should be careful what I ask for vis-s-vis privacy preferences.
