How long for return of deposit?

How long for return of deposit?
Was charged upon making the reservation for one night ($187.76). How many days does it take for it to be credited to your credit card? I canceled well before the date given for penalties... Thanks!

it normally takes 7 business days for the refund to hit your account....but i have heard of some merchants taking up to a month....

A one night deposit was due when making the reservation, and said cancellations were required by 7/31/10 to avoid cancellation penalties. I was just curious how many days it would take to see the credit... Is it usually reliable or will I have to beg for it?

The property is in what country? Is your credit card billed in the same country?
IME, hotels are pretty good about CC transactions. If you have met the cancellation terms there is no aspect for negotiation.
