I just last week booked 4 stays at PC properties in November for a 5K promo.

Due to this promo and this promo alone, all 4 reservations are being cancelled and rebooked at HH properties later today.

Just FYI to HHonors, these types of things do work. Keep 'em coming. ^

If one chooses the option with 4 stays, will reward stays count as one of those 4 stays. Yes or No?
Yes, as long as there are incidental charges and you are not staying at a Hampton or Homewood property.

Why Homewood I wonder... but thanks for clarifying.

Why as long as there are incidental charges? A stay is a stay regardless of whether there are incidentals or not. Why do stays at Hampton and Homewood not count?

Because it's their rules.

For elite qualification levels yes. For this promo, not necessarily. You're free to decline the promo

Reward stays do not count. Paid stays do count.

It's a promo - they haven't changed the base program.

***Update*** called the HHonors desk and turns out one needs to use their 4 digit PIN only (the PW function is not working apparently).

I successfully was able to select the 25k option. Thank you for the quick phone support HH!
I was able to use my username/password earlier today to register.

Because any incidentals charges incurred at Hamptons or Homewood Suites are not entitled to points as per HHonors T & C, whether paid or Award stays. It appears that for this promotion, if on an Award stay, you have to incur incidental charges and you only get points for them at the Hilton Group hotels listed.

This is an awesome promo!
This summer, I made 23k+ bonus points on one stay, with the double base points.

Warning: when you choose your route on the landing page, registration is instantaneous. I thought it would take me to a 2nd page w/ more detail, a space to enter my HH number, then have to hit 'submit'.

But members may earn points (not miles) for incidental charges at a Hilton Family hotel during a Reward Stay, provided such charges are deemed eligible folio charges at Hilton®, Conrad® Hotels and Resorts, Doubletree®, Embassy Suites®, Hilton Garden Inn®, Hilton Grand Vacations®, and the Waldorf Astoria hotels. For purposes of counting stays and nights for VIP tier qualification (as explained below), Reward Stays will count towards the number of overall stays and nights.

Hope this helps clarify.

I believe there are 2 themes in this paragraph.

1.) Points: points can be earned on awards stays but only for incidental charges at Hilton, Conrad, etc but not Homewood or Hampton.

2.) Stays: This appears to be seperate from the preceding discussion. Rewards stays will count towards the number of stays with no qualification for hotel brand.

Perhaps HHonors_Representative can confirm again.

Another Data point:

I have always received a stay credit for award nights at Hampton hotels.

You are correct on both points.

It's a nice promotion, but I think I will keep my Hyatt reservations. My next 4 stays at Hyatt will net 2 FFNs and give me credit for 8 stays towards elite qualification, plus the usual every 3 stay platinum amenity extra. I think that is worth more than 25000 HH points, but to each his own.
If I finish the quarter with an odd number of stays, I will put the last one with Hilton for double points since I wont be able to get an FFN.

I am trying to figure out how many "stays" I have to determine which option to select for this promotion. Currently I have a confirmation # for two nights at a Hampton Inn. I have a different confirmation # for a reservation at the same hotel (and same room type) for the following (third) night. Does this count as 1 stay or 2 stays? Since I have two different confirmation numbers I am hoping this counts as two stays.

This may be a DUH question but...

I am already Diamond
I will have 4 or 5 more stays this year of 4 nights each
My std rate is $169/night

Is there any good reason why I would choose anything else besides the 25K bonus?

thx
