Never seen it. But if you book through any site other than an official Hilton site you won't accrue points. I can usually get a decent rate through AAA, AARP, MVP ect and still get my points and benefits.

HOTELANDRESORTCARD only gives you a small allowable discount ($15-25) per property. It's a scam at the very least.

Example booking at the hilton phuket:
Maximum Allowable Discount that may apply to your entire stay is 25 USD discount which will be applied towards the booking of this room and deducted from your card. In the event you do not have sufficient credit you have the option to Reload once you enter your Hotel Discount Card number below.

Does not seem like a great deal... when you get into the details. You can never pay for the total cost of a stay with the discount. I just tried to get a five night room in NYC.... Room was almost $400 a night for five nights... and I can only apply $25 per night to the card....and the room was about 27% higher than what it was showing on Hilton's site.

I know I would pass.

Seems to be hit or miss. I just checked my reservation for 3 nights in Napa coming up in March and got the identical rate I booked and a maximum allowable discount of $120.00 ($40 per night).

Thumbs up Hotel and resort card $40

Bought 1. Went to ft lauderdale. Saved $260. Like a free nite.
It was also the best priced room that was refundable. Not a scam. Just have to understand that the card gives u discount on the best publshd price.

People with thousands of posts say it's a bad idea. One person with a single post says it gives a discount. I wonder if that person even knows about AAA rates, much less MVP.
