Flat tyre in UK

Just got a flat tyre in in Glasgow. Called road side assistance. They will come in a minute. I don't have a full size spare tyre in the rental car. Called local Hertz and they say I have to change tyre myself at Kwik Fit. Can that be true? I paid full insurance including SC (Super Cover) and now have to invest my time in tyre changing?

Hi
The AA that Hertz use in the UK, will come out and only change tyre for you.

Most of Hertz UK fleet carries a 'space saver' tyre. As you have paid for Supercover, then call into any Kwif Fit and tell them it's a Hertz rental vehicle, and they should call Hertz Maintenace for a purchase order number, this will ensure you don't pay for it.

Hope this helps

Olivetti, thanks a lot for your prompt reply!

I would have imagined that Hertz brings me another car to my place... Maximum effort required from my side would be driving to Hertz in order to swap cars.

Am I too optimistic?

P.S. AA was excellent. Very good service, great staff, efficient work.
