One of the worst rentals I've had. The Gold Choice area was completely empty. Nothing to swap for while ALL other spots were full and the return area was quite full too. Was with a co-worker and it was about 9 pm so didn't fuss about a change. But god is this car awful!!!
Did we miss your free upgrade that warranted the post?

If you don't like that, you'd HATE the Buick Verano (YF). It's a really nice car, but it's built on the same platform as the Chevy Cruze.

Hertz Gold
Booked: Economy e.g. Fiat Punto
Received: Compact Fiat 500L

Asked for another car as I absolutely despise the 500L , but gold desk staff was very unhelpfull and refused a swap. I said i'd even take a lower category or just a Punto but no

HLE Bellevue, WA one way to SEA
Booked: C
Received: 2013 Nissan Versa (YC!?!)

How is a Nissan Versa keyed as a YC? There's nothing special about this car (no leather, etc) - it should be a 'B'; I could see them being annoying and tagging it as a 'C', but 'YC'? Don't get me wrong, I like it better than the Corolla, but if I was renting this for more than a 4 hour airport transfer, I wouldn't be happy. I guess this is technically an 'upgrade' since it's YC but still...

Better late then never

Last july

Ewr
Reserved C
No
Carfirmation: YF passat
Sadly the last minute I needed to cancel the reservation

August

JFK
Reserved C
No
No carfirmation
Arrived at location there were no names on board and a few people waiting to get assigned a car, they told me to wait, and of course I gave up on the idea of using the GC in order to get a F,
By the end they called me that they got me a nissan sentra, but looking on the contract I was supprise that it was a Altima, we had it 19 days, and I really enjoyed it,

SLC
MVAR
No options, 5*
No: 2013 Town & Country w/ 46k miles BUT it has XM and NeverLost, which is good for the parents who don't know their way around. Certainly gets the job done.

Have a one-way on Sunday to Vegas, another MVAR. I already requested a Suburban and that shouldn't be a problem, although he said there might be an Escalade that needs to be moved...

SLC - one-way to LAS Riviera Hotel in Vegas (^)
MVAR
No options; 5*
No: assigned Dodge Grand Caravan
Swapped into the Town & Country I had just returned
And then ultimately upgraded for $35 extra into a YP - Cadillac Escalade ESV ^^

That's all, folks! My time at SLC is up. It was truly great, and I will miss the upgrades.

MUC
Reserved: Group V (Mercedes E Class Estate or similar)
Presidents Circle

Received: Merc CLS350CDi Shooting Brake (Group V6).

Very impressive car - but then it needs to be given its price. This one had at least £10k of options on a car that lists for over £53,000. So a lot of money if you were to buy one, a lot more than a regular E Class Estate, so no surprise that Hertz charge quite a lot more for it, too.

Good to see that MUC has maintained is track record of giving me yet another nice upgrade.

OGG
Reserved: F
Assigned/Took: Nissan Maxima (G)

I'm pretty happy with this upgrade. Gold Choice had a bunch of Alitmas, 1 Malibu, and a Versa. The Maxima easily beats all of those. 2800 miles, so I'm happy with that too!
