Nice experience at IAH
Took the family to Galveston for a long weekend (flew in through IAH, on CO reward tix). Arrived back at the Hertz lot on Sunday, pulled the car into the return line, started unloading. Traveling with wife and 2 kids, so the trunk was packed (packing for 4 days or 4 months--seems like the same amount of baggage!). Woman checking the car in says to me, "We'll take you over to the terminal, honey. You've got a ton of stuff there!". She called a guy over, and he drove us over to the terminal.
I only rent 20 times or so a year, so I can't imagine the offer was made due to status. Nonetheless, I thought it was a very nice gesture. Little things like that go a long way to building loyalty.
