Is anyone familiar with the CDP 700690? I was trying to use the old standby Travel Partners CDP number (706900) and entered it incorrectly. When I did, it gave me an amazing rate that was almost 40% less than the best code I've tried. On my receipt, the CDP shows up as OEKOKRIM. I've googled both 700690 and OEKOKRIM multiple times but no information comes up.

Any idea what this might be? It's a fabulous rate, but I'm a little scared to use it.

Thanks

I just made a test reservation with CDP 700690 and the rate is almost twice the cost at my local HLE :( vs. my usual CDP rate. I only tried my local HLE so maybe it works better at other locations.

If you happen to be an employee of the State of Nevada, 88103 gives great rates in Vegas...

Note that you will need to use the AAA CDP ("1" all by itself will work as AAA CDP). And you may get asked to show a AAA card. AAA is pretty cheap and will pay you back on this one rental. Pick up some maps while your there, and you will be ahead.

Your dates are Thursday to Monday, which qualifies for weekend rates IF you pick up after Noon on Thursday. Then make sure you return the same time on Monday to avoid getting charged for a fifth day.Yes, yes. And apparently in some markets it is cheapest for the full 4 day weekend. Hertz weekends begin Thursday at Noon, end Monday at midnight. So you can look for these by renting Thursday afternoon and returning same time Monday.

I just tried using this code (already a AAA member) for two rentals. The first one is a one-day rental at OAK from Friday 11/13 to Saturday 11/14, and the other is a 3-day rental at RNO from Saturday 11/14 to Tuesday 11/17. I was expecting an error message for both of them -- the first because it wasn't at least a 2-day rental, and the second because 1) it wasn't long enough to qualify for a weekly rental, and 2) it went beyond Monday noon, disqualifying it for a weekend rental.

HOWEVER - BOTH rentals went through, giving me $10 off per day (a 33% savings each time), for a total savings of $40. :D

THANK YOU RutDog for posting this because now it's not listed on their AAA special offers page. FT'ers are AWESOME!

October 3rd Update
Okay, here is the monthly update I received for the currently available PC's available for CDP 1704073.

Background on CDP:
This CDP provides a fixed rate price in Hawaii regardless of weekday, weekend or holiday. It also isn't affected by season. The fixed rates are for Compact through Luxury vehicles excluding Premium. They also give higher discounts for other vehicle classes in Hawaii.

*I have been told that this CDP has given some good discounts in other cities. This is second hand from co-workers and contractors. They said they tried AAA and some other Car magazine CDP or something and this one came out cheaper. If you see any good rates in other cities, let me know.

Fixed Rates Hawaii: (Daily/Weekly)
Compact: $31.95 / $159.75
Midsize: $35.95 / $179.75
Full Size: $42.95 / $214.75
Luxury: $57.95 / $289.75

Wanted to post a success story for the above CDP. Just used it for a Hawaii rental last week with no problems. Thanks so much for sharing the code, LocalJapGuy!

Oekokrim is the Norwegian special police unit for economic crimes. I kid you not.
The reason you don't get much hits is because it's spelt "Økokrim" in Norwegian.

Thanks for Posting. I combined entertainment books PC # 116196 that expires 06/30/10 with your CDP and was able to save another $ 20.00 on a weekly rental in Kona. Tried to use PC # 116200 to save another $ 15.00 on a 2 day weekend rental in HNL but did not have any luck. Thanks OP for posting the code.

*Also, I was informed that this CDP allowed Hertz to blackout some of the days from Christmas to New Years as the company employees would be all off. Therefore, you may not see the fixed rates for the CDP during that period. Doesn't hurt to try though.

Happy Renting! If you have questions, don't hesitate to PM me.

I have been searching for a good rate for a car rental in denver/boulder over the xmas holiday and was advised to check here. The best rate I had found was $230 for a weekly rental. I tried several codes I found here and got it down to $187. Used the 706900 and PC924932. The rat is based on a boulder pickup and return. It went up to $327 if I picked up in boulder and returned to denver airport.

If it is working, why do you go and call Hertz to bring attention to this?, and you went 3 people up the chain. I have a rental on Tuesday so I'll check with the rental agent when I get my car to see if it says anything in the computer.

CDP 1704073.
"For the Noob posters... don't call Hertz up to ask them about this CDP. Ask on here. There are so many knowledgeable people. It's like you just want to start trouble by calling up the company. Just like the mileage run noobs who call in and the cheap fare gets taken away."
Thank you
This code worked perfectly for 10 day rental in KOA.
Thank you localjapguy. You saved us hundreds of dollars.
We used the Gold Canopy Service and never spoke to a soul. Excellent
