I rented a 2024 Volvo S60 from IAD last week and it was coded as P4.

ha, just checked a S60 at the LGA lot and came to report back the same :)

Also, had an XC60 this weekend, tagged as H4. Added both cars to the wiki

Anyone have any recent Hertz Z4 class pick ups to share?

Happy to report back early next week on what i get, but in the mean time would love to manage expectations on my end.

Taking a gamble and cancelled my Sixt Platinum (i5, minivan) to jump onto Hertz PC Z4 at SFO next week. Could not pass up $390/week offer! Secretly hoping QX60s and Land Rover Discovery are in low/no supply, much rather have a Jeep Grand Cherokee L/Wagoneer or XC90s.

What did you get? Choosing between U (convertible Mustang) and Z4 at the moment but would much rather a Land Rover Discovery if they are going...

Forgot to note the category but picked a new (<3000 miles) Sonata Hybrid out of PC at BNA recently.

They are getting rid of their Teslas as no one rents them and replacing them with Volvos.

Works for me. I've rented the Polestar 2 dozens of times are they are excellent cars.

Interesting they said that as I couldn't find one at Hertz last year when they had them as they were all rented. EV as a rental car has a lot of growing pains to still go through. Give me a gas car and let me be on my way without drama.

I'm not sure if he meant Volvos or Polestars. People are even less likely to want Polestars because they have all the downsides of EVs without the infrastructure of Tesla.

I believe he means actual volvos.
So far the only brand new 2024 EV that I had witnessed/rented in fleet this year are EV6, EQB, C40 EV, XC40EV, Niro, SIlverado.
I have not seen a single new Tesla or Polestar for quite some time.

I definitely meant Polestar. I've also rented lots of Volvos (XC90s and S60s).
