Any updates recently?
Any updates with DEN recently? Looking to take a day trip to go hiking near Red Rocks, and was looking to get a T or T6 (Tahoe, Surburban,Yukon, etc.).
What are my odds for booking an FCAR and snagging a T/T6 in the PC lot? |
Garbage selection in the PC isle. Lots of Kias and chevys.. Nothing decent, no SUV's just garbage. I wish I went with National.

In Denver from 7/16 to 7/19. When I arrived on Thursday about 6:30 pm there were 4 trucks in all sections. I reserved a G4 prestige class sedan which they had already rented. They offered to clean up 4 cylinder Mustang which I didn't take because I needed a bigger car. I ended up leaving and going to National, they had a full lot in Executive. I got a Audi Q3 from them.
I feel sad for the Hertz employees. They seemed really stressed. |
Anyone had luck in the PC selection at DIA? Looks like Hertz has started stocking the PC aisle decently again lately.

Hoping things pick up, hoping to get something decent for a New Years trip. Don't need 4wd or a big SUV, just staying in town. Have both an SCAR and Minivan reservation on hold in case PC has junk. Minivan was much cheaper than any SUV.

Just had a terrible experience at DEN. The isles cars were terrible. All garbage like the worst cars they have but lower mileage maybe. Maybe
I reserved a premium large sedan but they still wanted me to pick an isle car. Screen just said five star. Why would did i reserve a higher type car? The problem was i paid extra for a large premium sedan (the prices was like $40 more then an intermediate and alot more then a compact) . The isle had all tiny sedans and micro suvs! I had long highways to cruise and the isle cars were all terrible for open highways. I asked why they couldn't get me a premium large sedan, or even down any full size sedan (which is a lower class) it was so lame. Person behind the desk wouldn't stop watching his cell phone, zero interest in helping. Guy acted like i was trying to get a free upgrade, but i paid for a large sedan, they wouldn't offer me anything close. Guy just said pick something in the isle or get an upgrade car (but he said it would be extra) . DEN is a huge hertz and there were so many larger sedans or suvs i was looking at. Guy said they were all reserved or dirty. Didnt buy that. Worst hertz experience ive ever had. Guy clearly has never rented a car before and was just like if you want a premium car go get one from the upgrade section but it was clear i would pay extra! I understand cars go sold out but i would expect something close not just be like grab a compact car with no offer to lower the price i paid extra for |
Renting car in Den Airport
Heading to Aspen, Looking at either an F Full size Sedan or L Suv. Nothing bigger than L available. Would L class SUVs be 4 wheel drive? Or should I save the difference and go with the full size sedan. Only two passengers so don’t need tons of space

President’s Circle was well stocked. Nothing was particularly exciting, but there were plenty of SUV options (Equinox, GMC Terrain, Mazda CX-9, and some sort of Kia with cloth seats). Good upgrade options as well. I went with the Mazda CX-9. Only 1600 miles, AWD, leather seats, plenty of cargo space, and working SiriusXM. It did have a big dent in one of the doors that I didn’t catch with my own eyes, but it shows up clearly in my photos and video prior to renting. Hopefully won’t be an issue at return. President’s Circle proved its value. SUV rates were nearly $750 for four days when I made the reservation a month ago with Autoslash. Unavailable a week ago. I booked a standard car for $240 with USAA rate to get PC access hoping for an SUV. Pleasantly surprised. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...024a56532.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...281a8024d.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f160d597b.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...78305bd87.jpeg |

I was in DEN at May 1st, booked RR Velar class, and ending got a 19 Escalade, with dings and dents all around body, broken parking sensor and one of the rear camera, I wish they can get something newer soon.

Went to DEN on August 12th. Apparently a short power bump occured shortly before landing and wrecked havoc on the Hertz lot.
At least 60-70 people waiting for cars at the Ultimate Choice lot with a paper list of who showed up first to get people their cars. Lots of confusion on where to wait to hear your name being called, first they were calling inside, then they randomly switched to calling names outside. There was nothing in the PC/UC lots available aside from a few premium upgrade suvs, I've never seen an airport rental facility that empty before. According to the staff, they couldn't get cleaned cars out? Who knows the real reason, but a few hours of waiting gave us a low mileage Chevy Equinox. |
