Hertz upgrade deal of the day question

Hertz upgrade deal of the day question
Flew into LAS yesterday at 5 pm. Had a hertz reservation for a premium. Returning tonight at 10 pm. I am using 2 free day certificates so rental cost with taxes and fees normally $5.93.
When i got the carformation text where you can choose different car or upgrade they had "deal of the day" upgrade to Chevy Camero SS CV for $15 per day. Thought that was a great deal so I took it. I assumed I would end up paying for 2 days $30 since I was renting for 1 day + 5 hours.
When I got to my hotel I noticed the upgrade fee was $71.25. 1 day @ $15. 5 hours @ $11.25. (And yes I was stupid not looking at contract when at gate)
My question is that something they can override at return and change to 2 days or will get the answer "computer won't let me change it"?

Agree that it sounds like a mistake. I would arrive a bit early and speak with a manager after they check the car in. They should be able to adjust.
Keep in mind though that there are hefty airport taxes/fees which are charges as a percentage of the total, so your final price is likely to be more along the lines of $40-$45 rather than $35.93.

Called the Gold desk. They got it changed for me.

2 Promotional coupon. T $-220.00
