FF surcharge
I saw on my Hertz rental agreement the part about the FF surcharge per rental.
I just want to be clear that the FF surcharge is only if I am earning AIRLINE miles and not Hertz points, correct?

I've never been charged a surcharge on ZE1 (#1 Club) points, so I think you're fine.
There is no airline mile surcharge with Air Canada and I believe with a couple of other airlines as well.
