Canada Advice

Looking for advice for a trip I'm planning this summer. I'm looking to work out of Whitehorse for an extended period (~5-7 weeks) and take the family with me. Work is unlikely to pay for a car I won't really need for work purposes, so I'll need to rent something.

Given flight costs, rental rates and the opportunity to see more of the country, I'm thinking of renting out of Vancouver or Edmonton/Calgary and driving up and then back at the end of the stint.

It's been a while since I paid attention to the rules for rentals, but I seem to recall at one point unlimited mileage being limited to adjacent provinces only. Is this the current rule?

My mileage wouldn't be too crazy averaged out, but would be something like ~6,000-8,000 km over the 5-7 weeks depending on rental location.

I don't know about adjacent provinces rule. It should say in the details when you work on a quote online.

Keep in mind that credit cards usually offer CDW only for rentals of up to 30 days. 5-7 weeks is more than that.
