Hertz at GVA

Got a very good quote for a Jeep Renegade (Z) "or similar" (CFMR) .

Does anyone know by any chance what a similar vehicle would look like? I will need the car for 10 days for a long road trip through Italy so I would not like to get stuck with a huge car...

Presumably I can get an upgrade via hertz gold/amex plat but just in case...

Thanks heaps.

I can't speak on vehicle, but in conversation with Hertz CS about upgrades I was informed that GVA does not participate in upgrades for PC / 5* etc.

I was given points in lieu as a 'courtesy'

Of course, YMMV.

Also, bear in mind that there can be some restrictions on what vehicles you can take into Italy...in my experience Hertz has the most restrictive policy in that regard.

Thanks both, this is helpful! I think I will stick to Sixt then even if I have to do all the driving myself (poor wife...)

Recently rented at GVA on Dec 26th

Booked - IFMR - Jeep Compass (or Similar)
Received - IFAR - Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (Auto)

Guy at the counter was desperately trying to sell me an upgrade to an Alfa Romeo Stelvio (apparently they had 4 unallocated) for an additional 60 CHF per day. I was a little disappointed they didn't give it as a PC upgrade given the surplus but I suppose it is peak season for 4x4's in the Mountains. Stuck with the Eclipse.
