two rentals at the same time

I have a car out from Hertz at an airport location (BWI) right now that goes back today. I'm renting another car from Hertz (Union Station DC) that I will actually have out a little bit before the BWI car goes back.

Does anyone know if this will cause a problem? My wife will be returning the BWI car at the same time I'm renting the Union Station car.

Thanks!

I've done this tons of times. Hertz will not give you a problem, but be aware many credit card rental car insurance schemes do not cover more than one car at once.

I've done this as well without any problems as well but hadn't thought about the insurance situation. On the subject of insurance I will be renting for the first time in Germany. I know I will have to call my insurance company now to know for certain what the policy is but does anyone happen to have a general insight into the subject?

Take a photo copy of your insurance with you, as the rental office in Germany might want to see it. I assume you are using Hertz, if not then some rental companies will not accept your insurance, I know Enterprise are one such
