Redeeming points for someone else
I've been with Hertz for as long as I can remember, and have been President Circle since the inception of it. I am a Hertz fan, obviously, as I've stayed with them and don't think the grass is any greener. The biggest frustration I have though is that I can't redeem my points for somebody else, other than my wife or domestic partner, or for generic coupons. With United and Hilton I can redeem for whomever I like, they're my points. Does anyone have a way, or had luck redeeming for someone else or something like a generic one-week rental coupon. Any hints or tricks would be helpful.

Short of going with them to the airport (which you probably are not going to be at) and paying for them as a second driver, I've never heard of a way around this.
So I guess +2 to what's been said already
