Marriott Help -- Spoiled in Kauai

ok, I have boatloads (500k+) Marriott Reward points that I'd like to start using, and have an incredible upcoming opportunity . I live in Atlanta and am heading November 6 to New York to run the ING NYC Marathon with my girlfriend. We've got 5 nights to travel after the marathon, & are looking for a relaxing getaway island, beautiful resort to spend time during our recovery. Something to the effect of Kauai's lushness, serenity, beauty, exploring & sight seeing that was absolutely magical (napali coast, wailua river, waterfalls, kalalu trail, poipu, princeville, waimea canyon, etc...) though i'm not sure that anything comparable exists anywhere. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Kauai (Poipu) my last 2 island resort trips and experienced the most perfect resort at the most perfect island, in my limited travels anyway. Consequently, I fear that anything in the Marriott family (Ritz/Rennaince/...)collection of hotels within 3-5 hours flight from Atlanta will be a let down after Kauai.

Please tell me I'm wrong... if i'm not, what's your opinion on the closest thing to Kauai in the carribean/west indies?? Or Anywhere in the world for future trips.... Does anyone know if they have marathons in tahiti?

thanks!

Per the FlyerTalk TOS, it's appropriate not to cross-post the ery same message. Since you already have the same thread here:

I'm closing this thread so discussion can be focused in one place on the other thread (since it already has responses).
