Volcano fly-over

Thinking of a flight from Maui of a sight-seeing flight to the Big Island.

Does anyone think there is any chance of seeing some lava flow or something interesting from the air?

They'll likely take you to where the lava meets the ocean. Recent news reports states that they've closed out the area to hikers because of instability in the lava, so you'll get much closer to the action.

I've been thinking about the same thing. Last time in Maui at the small airport near Kapalua I saw a group getting organized to go out that day. Has anyone taken one of these and have an opinion? Any recommendations? My main purpose would be to see the volcano and lava.
