Best guide book?
After spending untold hours working our hotel stays (Princeville Kauai and Ritz Maui) and air travel (AA FC EWR-HNL), I need a new project. Can you informed travellers recommend the best guidebook for these Hawaiin Islands? As alway, many thanks.

After spending an hour at Border's looking through travel guides and deciding on the "Ultimate Guide to Kauai" I must also concur. Unless, of course, information like aerial photos showing each hotel's proximity to the ocean and descriptions like "3/10 mile past mile marker number 9 look for a dirt road on your right" is too informative for your taste.

The Revealed books are great...just remember there is some controversy surrounding them
I also found a book series called "Driving and Discovering..." (there is one for Maui/Molokai and one for Oahu...both have new 2004 editions that might be hard to get on the mainland). These appear to be excellent books for those looking for the best spots for photography.
The author sent me this email when I requested advise on where to buy the new editions:
"...At Kahalui airport right before the down escalator to baggage claim is a news stand on your left. Usually they have it. It is also available at Cosco, Hilo Hattie's, Borders, Long's Drugs and most other places that sell books."
