I swear Slippahs, you put these sights on here just for me. I actually go through withdrawl if I don't look at the webcams each day. I love the song My Tropical Baby on the Dukes website. I need to know how the weather is and how many people are on the islands each day. I am not obsessed am I?
By the way, great pictures of Waikiki. We are still scheming as to whether we should go to Honolulu first and then Maui or Maui alone. The best part is we are determined to get there this fall, God willing for my husband to have enough time off. Right now it's a go.

Thanks for checking up on us... if there's ever a tidal wave, you'll be the first to know, I guess

"Aloha, makuahine!" (Hi, mom.)
Dis one kahiko thread, brah! Nonetheless, it is current and of compelling interest
.
The Waikiki webcams are still up and operating, though most visitors seem to have no idea.
"Duke-cam" AKA "Waikiki webcam": Stand under Duke Kahanamoku's statue's welcoming, lei-draped arms makai side of Kalakaua Avenue (between where Kaiulani and Uluniu end in Kalakaua), face mauka (mountainside) and wave - the lighting is fine mornings, and it's less crowded. Be sure to allow for time differences between HNL and wherever home may be.
Another webcam at Kuhio Beach on Waikiki.
Other City webcams (now including traffic cams!) can be found here.
(Require Windows Media Player, Java, IE7 preferred.)
Mahalo for the list, slippahs!
