swim with dolphins

We are planning a trip to Oahu in February. Has anyone experienced the "swim with dolphins" programs and are they worthwhile?

Specifically, I'm assuming you're referring to the Dolphins program at Sea Life Park.

I know people who have and found it to be a very enjoyable experience, especially if you're got kids. Dolphins are extraordinary creatures -- and you can't really swim with them and get up close and personal as you would in the open ocean.

If you've got the capital and are willing to do it, I'd say it'd be a good experience

I would opt for the "dolphin experience" at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental hotel. After eating brunch I've seen many happy people there taking part it in. Expensive though.

I actually feel sorry for those dolphins because they seem to be more confined than the ones at Sea Life Park are... That pond fronting the hotel seems awfully small, I guess just my take on it.
