Maui Activities
Is it cheaper to book Maui Activities such as snorkeling, dinner cruises, interisland flights, etc. in advance before I get to the Islands or when I arrive there ?
Also, are there any drawbacks on activities purchased through Activity Consolidators such as AOA, Activities for Less, etc ?

I would recommend making inter-island flight reservations before you arrive on Maui if you know what your flight schedule will be. Tell the reservationist that you will be using flight coupons. I think they will book you in Z class. Then when you arrive, purchase the flight coupons from any travel agent. Recently Aloha had a special of 6 coupons for $300(transferable) and Hawaiian's were slightly more expensive.
Many activities can be purchased for slightly less by booking directly with the activity itself (then they pay no commission)but it may be worth the few extra bucks to get the counseling of the activity companies if you don't know the quality of the individual operators.

You can buy inter-island coupons for Hawaiian Airlines online at http://travel-hawaii.com/coupons.html
Also just about any travel agency out there has them. Last ones I bought were $65 each and are good for confirmed Y class travel one-way between any 2 islands including any connections.
