Hotel Renew

Anyone ever stay at the Hotel Renew on Paoakalani Avenue, Waikiki? I would like to stay there. The hotel has gotten rave reviews on tripadvisor.com but it is the noise issue that some reviews have metioned that bothers me. Evidently the hotel is next to another hotel or cafe that plays music into the night. I am a light sleeper so this concerns me. Has anyone had a noise issue staying at the Hotel Renew?

You can get a bird's eye here on Google maps.

That is a pretty busy piece of Kalakaua you are close to, but you are also in a very convenient location in Waikiki and near the ZOo and Waikiki Aquarium, etc. I had some decent beer and ahi poke at Lulu's nearby. Don't forget to say "hi" to the folks at home from the Duke Kahanamoku statue webcam!

It is a noisy Waikiki corner beachfront down the street from the Renew. . . The Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel has the very popular Tiki Bar and Grill on an open air beachfront patio. Very popular outdoor patio bar with band and dancing until late. And then the Park Shore next door to the Aston beachfront has Lulu's Bar -- again same as above. So, I suppose Renew guests could hear the noise from both those venues?? We have stayed at the Marriott Waikiki right next door, and haven't been bothered, but we have always been on an upper floor and have the ac on.
