Bulkhead Seating on HA

I saw in the long thread about seating on HA, many people mention that they were able to get bulkhead seating in advance for their flights, especially on mainland to Hawaii flights. How did you all do this? I tried getting bulkhead seats assigned in advance when traveling with my disabled grandmother and all I had were fights. It was only after getting some phone number of an office at HNL, was I able to get bulkhead seats assigned on the flight from HNL to LAX. But I was only able to do that day before. I kinda find it hard to believe that they wont give bulkhead seats in advance to disabled but will assign it to other passengers. I have a Premier Club membership if that helps.

My experience (even as a Pualani Gold) is that they don't assign bulkhead seats in advance -- period. They do allow you to put in a request, particularly for disability reasons, but won't actually assign until 24 hours out.

Thats what I had been told and figured was the case. I just dont understand how some members (according to the postings in the HA seating thread) seemed to have been able to get bulkhead seats assigned in advance. Does the same rule apply to exit row seating?

Did you request a wheelchair? Typically one can be assigned a bulkhead seat in tandem with a wheelchair request. Note: wheelchair does not have to be used upon arrival at airport, just requested in advance. Best wishes for you and GM.

Thanks for the good wishses. Reservations as well as the customer advocate line all refused to assign the bulkhead seats in advance even with the wheelchair request.
