Changing Interisland Destination with Aloha

I've traveled so much in Hawaii over the last 20+ years it would seem I should know the answer to this but...

If I use UAL miles to buy a ticket from HNL to OGG but I really want to get to JHM. Will Aloha allow me to change my destination when I check in in HNL? It seems they don't allow you to use miles to buy the desired itinerary.

I only pose this question because Aloha and Hawaiian have run these things for years like a taxi company.

Even though they run their airline like a taxi company, I highly doubt they'll change your destination to Kapalua (JHM) because Aloha Airlines doesn't fly to JHM but Aloha Island Air does. Tickets on Island Air are usually more expensive and the airlines are located in different terminals at HNL (Aloha is in the main interisland terminal, Island Air in the commuter terminal). Aloha Island Air is Aloha's sister company and is owned by Aloha Airlines. Now I say this even with the knowledge that tickets on both Island Air and Aloha are booked on the same website.

Even if you were trying to change your destination on the day of departure at HNL, they still wouldn't allow you to do it because even though they are laxed about changing your flights to the same destination, they're still concerned about pax loads as any other domestic carrier.

.... but as you and I know, it never hurts to ask

Flights used to be like buses (one every 1/2 hour or so) but never cabs....

The standby success has diminished at HNL

... but wouldn't it be something if you could just hail an interisland flight
