717 and 732

How did they get these planes delieverd to HA and AQ respectively? Was it through a major series of Island hopping over the Pacific?

Actually no... There are no islands between Hawai'i and the mainland, it's all overwater flying, which is why all flights to Hawai'i needs to be ETOPS certified. Instead, the carriers used big tanks within the cabin of the plane to haul the flights over from the mainland...

See these links for actual pictures of HA's 717s with fuel tanks installed in the cabin:

I know there aren't any islands between the USA and HI. I was talking about from SEA to ANC and ANC to Japan and down to Guam and stuff. How about for AQ?

Same way. Temp tanks are installed for long haul overwater delivery flights of smaller aircraft with a shorter range (ie the 732's, 717's, although not sure if they did that with the Dash-8's for Island Air or if they ship them and re-assemble them at their destinations).
