minor question
On an ad HA sent me they state:

Complimentary meals
Complimentary snacks
Free soft drinks

I'm just wondering what the difference between complimentary and free is.

They tell you how good looking you are as they serve the food. Drinks are simply placed on your tray without comment.

"Complimentary" is "marketing speak" for "free." In practice, it means that a company is currently providing something for "free" that its competitors charge an additional fee for.

With Allegiant flying to Hawaii, they could change that to "complimentary soft drinks" now since Allegiant charges for those.
