I'm 23. I was born and raised in Seoul for about 15 years... (and was definitely "not gay" back then, lol) but... gay community is pretty much invisible outside that little area, just FYI.

Yeah, I found my way around quite easily in Seoul. In some neighbourhoods tourists or westerners aren't a familiar sight. In those cases getting directions might be a bit difficult.
"The Hill" is pretty small, so you'll meet people easily and I found it all very relaxed and welcoming. Then again, it is a bit dodgy in Itaewon.
Also, just try the hill: both Koreans and "westerners" will mingle. In many cases Korean men won't approach you, but will like it if you strike up a conversation.
Also, a club opened about a year ago on main street in Itaewon. It was pretty busy on the weekends, but no idea how it's now.

Jongno
If you are tired of Itaewon scene--or my case--I wasn't really into gay TPT American GIs or English teachers--try Jongno. Yes, it is harder to find and it's all Korean guys, but this neighborhood is more "authentic" Korean gay experience. I believe Utopia Asia has the basic information.
