Fire at Mickey's in WeHo

Not sure if anyone has caught this on the news but Mickey's on Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood had a major fire today - multiple trucks (LA and BH); it went on for about 1.5 - 2 hrs.

All the establishments on the block are now closed while they clean up the mess.

All the other stores are reported to be fine. My guess is there will be smoke damage at the bookstore especially, perhaps Fiesta and East West.

I am heading out with friends later tonight, I will walk by and see if anything on the block re-opened.

Everything around it looks normal. I walked by there today. Mickey's was being boarded up as I passed. I heard that they had been trying to sell it for 10.5 million dollars for a while without finding any buyers. Perhaps they'll have more luck with the insurance company...

your definition of "better" has always differed significantly from mine.

(and besides, what does better matter when drunken dancing is involved?)
