Vegas-is-a-changing!
Just got a flyer from Luxor Las Vegas-so either they know I am queer and aimed this mailing at me or Vegas is sure changing!
In the entertainment line up Dame Edna(a straight guy playing a drag queen like Lady)CarottTop(a gay man playing a-ahh who the heck knows what he is playing at)and Hairspray with Harvey Firstien(a gay man playing a woman)!Who is doing the programing here-Bruce Villanch?

It also might be random luck. With the prevalence of the gay culture in media that might just happen to be what they're getting and figure the general guest probably wants to see. Carrot Top has been advertised at MGM previous times I've been staying there.
Then again, I don't put anything past Vegas marketing people to slice and dice their lists to target very specific markets.

Carrot Top Gay. Who knew?
Thanks flyertalk for the education!
I remember seeing Carrot Top on TV and being quite startled at how buff he was.
Luxor gets excellent reviews on tripadvisor.com. The only gay resort in Las Vegas, Blue Moon, gets very mixed reviews. For one thing, Blue Moon is in an apparently dicey location.
By the way, here's a wonderful exchange between Peter Marshall and Paul Lynde that I recently got from the Web:
Peter: Tony Randall gave an interview saying that every woman he has been intimate with has been ... what?
Paul: Bitterly disappointed.
