I was going to sign the petition to rescind, but I see that Randy is stepping in on the MTW issue. It looks like the thread is closed, perhaps?

Was there any resolution to the MTW affair? I hadn't noticed that Randy's email was posted on 8/13 which was some time ago. I wasn't sure where to ask this, since all the threads I see about it were closed with no resolution.

Moderator-If it's not OK to ask this here, please delete this post.

I haven't seen mention of this, and although the thread is locked while Randy makes his decision, I think people should know there have been complaints about the suitability of content in this forum:

Oh god...I implore GothJenny to read every single thread of every forum and make sure it meets the mission statement of Flyertalk. I find it interesting her account is suspended???

I'm not sure what one has to do with the other? I realize that some topics here get pretty close to the "line". I'm sure the moderators can take care of it.

Right now we have a thread in TravelBuzz! about "sharing" airline lounge showers. That seems pretty graphic to me. I can read between the lines. If we're not shutting down that thread, I don't see why we should shut down threads about "meeting" up with someone while traveling.

OK - gentle reminder here - please keep this thread for pointers to threads "of interest" elsewhere on Flyertalk - and also a reminder that public discussion of moderation is not allowed anywhere on FT - those go to mods in question and / or Randy via PM.

Thanks.

This is the latest thread on Mission to the World. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=857305

I cannot post in it as Moderator (we are not allowed to post in ORP), but non-Mods might be interested in the latest statements from Randy.

What is the current situation with the status of MTW? I only just saw this controversy and in trying to learn the story weeding through the various threads posted... I can't find a resolution. Has Randy announced the decision yet?

Yes, Randy provided an update in a new thread in the Only Randy Petersen forum. I believe it is entitled "Update on FlyerTalk Cares", which is the name of the program through which FlyerTalk was considering supporting MTW. I believe the thread is open for any comments there.

Airline blocks access to gay sites on their lounge computers

I hope this airline is an equal opportunity offender and blocks straight porn, religious websites, etc.
