Gates at TXL Terminal A
Understand that each gate at TXL Terminal A have their own check in desk.
Does anyone know which gates BA and AF fly from. While my partner and I are flying around the same time, we are on separate flights on the two airlines.
Just would like to know if the gates are far apart and if we need the taxi to make one or two stops.

From my experienfe, taxis in Berlin drope you in front of the main building, there are no separate entrances for certain airlines. The terminal building is built like an octagon and you can easily walk to each gate from there.
TXL is a (very) small airport.
From my experience, the gates are not always the same, at least for Schengen flights.

The gates at TXL 'A' are arranged in a hexagon alignment, and the roadway does not have access to the areas away from the central 'drop-off' point.

The distance is not too great, and can be easily walked.
IIRC (and it's been a decade for me flying AF out of TXL), BA uses either A3 or A4, and AF uses either A14 or A15 (corrections are welcome).

The taxi can drop you directly in front of the gate not at any cental drop off place. Very convenient. However, from A3 to A15 it is three minutes walk via the main hall.

Since the OP is BA Gold, he will have access to the BA lounge (if you arrive early, you may want to go there first - it is a good Terraces-style lounge with very good staff). If you look on the map that was posted above, it is located landside, one floor up from the main level. The elevator and stairs to reach the lounge are just a few steps from the 'Cafe' that is shown on the map.
