I vote for Fruh as well, fun place with quite nice food as well. I like how the waiter brings a coaster with your first glass and then just puts check marks on the coaster as you drink additional glasses.

We also had a good time at the Roman Museum - as I remember it is very close to the Dom.

That's the way they do it at all places. Kind of funny.

For my all time favourite brewpub with local clientele, take the number 18 tram from the Main Station ("Hauptbahnhof") to the Sulzburgstrasse stop (about 15 minutes in total) On the right hand side from the tram stop you'll find the Reissdorf em Unkelbach

Considering walking distance to the brewpubs in the Old Town area, it's not any further timewise. Less congested (apart from the Carnival heydays) and more returning customers so they put an emphasis on service and food.

Ah, Fruh, yummmmm!!!! They have this dish which is veal dumplings in cream sauce over noodles. I thought that the veal dumplings would be veal in dough balls. Wrong! It was golf ball sized balls of pure tender veal. Scrumptious and then some.
