Cologne Station

We've got about 3 1/2 hours in Cologne between trains.
Is there anywhere secure to store suitcases @ the station whilst we explore the Cathedral & Museums & how much is it likely to cost us.
Tried looking on the DB website but it just has some general information.

There are lockers available for rent in the station. They're of a pretty good size, but they're on the expensive side for DB lockers. They're some strange design--I glanced at the machines a week or so ago when I was in the station, and I want to say it was 6-8EUR for 24 hours.

Actually an automated storage system rather than lockers. Feed your luggage into the mouth of the beast and it squirrels it away underground somewhere. Then present your claim ticket to the machine, and several minutes worth of ominous noises later, the door opens and there it is. Allow time for the retrieval, the train will not wait for you (I speak from experience ). The price mentioned by soitgoes sounds about right, perhaps slightly less for <4 hours.

Oh, that makes me feel better. I didn't really examine them closely, but it just seemed like an enormous waste of space for a handful of lockers.

Living in Cologne at the moment and using the train station frequently (not the lockers though ) I can agree to all of the above. Have fun in the city!

That should be just enough time to have a couple 'snoots' of Koelsch.

Remember, its not just a beer, its also a language!
