Frankfurt connection/security rules

Folks, much appreciate it if you have any information about connecting Frakfurt airport (to SAA); are security rules are the same as Heathrow for transit passengers? 50-ml liquid lotion limitation also applies?

I know Heathrow is very rough.

The 100 ml rule (not 50) applies pretty much everywhere. Including FRA. The two main differences are (1) you can have two pieces of carryon (LHR is removing the single piece some time in January I believe) and (2) the queues are well-managed and reasonably quick.

What Stranger has indicated is pretty much what I noted in my couple of transits via Frankfurt this year ... it was still a pain to make the dash from one part of the terminal to the other (45 min connection) ... but it is doable ... this was standing in line at EU immigration also ...

thank you folks. Yes, Heathrow's one piece-luggage (laptop or anything else) is really bad, but the long is forever long.

Nice to know the 100-ml rule. I am thinking to carry on my small luggage, plus laptop, but need to have toothpaste, and another lotion.

Will have 4-5 hrs to connect SAA flight, so hopefully can make it.

Only useful really if you go to T3. No use for connections between AC and LH/Star.
