DB Strikes Appear to be Over for the Moment
 

It appears to be back to work while new contract offers are received and reviewed.

I just read more strike action is expected next week. If DUS is affected have to organize a car since taxis will be in very short supply.

Yes, new strikes to come next week as engine drivers plan work stoppage again.

The next strike by engine drivers will be nation-wide on 10.07.2007 from 8am to 11am.

An hour ago on the ARD Morgenmagazin:

Reporter in front of a standing train in Frankfurt: "This Regionalexpress to Heidelberg should have departed one minute ago."

Camera pans to the side and the reporter interviews someone.

When the interview is finished, the camera pans back to the original view.

"As you can see, Frankfurt station has come to a complete standstill."

And the train in the background is gone!
