I think I don't have to explain the difference between - "Don't run late at all = 100% on time" and "over 90% on time".

Some of the train companies in the UK are running at >90% on time as well

I'd never have thought UK trains were more punctual than German ones

The world is going mad

(OTOH, it apparently takes 10-15 mins longer to do York to London than it did 5 years ago - same company, same track, same trains. Just somehow longer Also any delay less than 10 mins is not counted as a delay. Maybe DB just need to learn UK company's tricks for massaging statistics? )

I read somewhere recently that TGV trains are 97% on time or less than 7 minutes delayed. To me, that is plenty good enough and far better than the ICE statistics above.

Does anyone know the statistics for Swiss Rail? I've never been on a late train there.

Have a party! This month is the 25th anniversary of the TGV!!
